Buddy, our charming black-and-white long-haired barn cat, joined the Arrowhead Ranch family in December 2021, reuniting with his brother, Axle. With his fluffy coat and affectionate nature, Buddy is a favorite among visitors. Known for his playful habit of reaching out to gently tap you if he feels ignored, Buddy ensures he’s always the center of attention! Like his brother, he loves the hustle and bustle of ranch events and never misses a chance to socialize. Whether lounging in the barn or mingling with guests, Buddy brings warmth and personality to every corner of Arrowhead Ranch.
Axle, our all-black barn cat, has been a beloved member of Arrowhead Ranch since he arrived as a playful kitten in 2020. With his sleek coat and bright eyes, Axle is not just a barn cat but a social butterfly! He thrives on the excitement of events and loves mingling with visitors, always ready to charm them with his friendly demeanor. A true ranch character, Axle has a soft spot for poker night, where he’s known to lounge on the tables as the unofficial good-luck charm. Whether exploring the ranch or enjoying the company of guests, Axle is a cherished part of the Arrowhead Ranch family.
Honey Bees joined us in 2024 at the Arrowhead Ranch! Their job is to pollinate the pumpkin patch and flower farm. Greg, of Gilday Bee Farm is the keeper of the bees - he makes delicious local honey that can be purchased at the ranch.
Bo is a spirited Blue Heeler, born in 2023, and a proud member of the Arrowhead Ranch family. With his youthful curiosity and friendly demeanor, Bo is always excited to meet new friends. His favorite daily activities include strolling the ranch with his best buddy, Ranch Dad Randy, and warmly welcoming visitors with his cheerful energy.
Our 25 Limousin cattle are a proud part of Arrowhead Ranch. Known for their rich golden coats and strong, muscular build, these cattle are a testament to the heritage and quality of this French breed. Renowned for their docile nature and excellent adaptability, the Limousin cattle thrive on the lush pastures of the ranch. Whether grazing peacefully or curiously observing visitors, they contribute to the ranch's sustainable practices and vibrant agricultural life. These hardworking cattle are not just livestock—they’re a vital part of the Arrowhead Ranch family.
Our baby peachicks Milly and Otis aren’t babies anymore! After months of watching them grow, we officially know their genders—and it’s such an exciting milestone for our feathered friends! Fun Fact: Did you know it takes about 6 months for a peacock's gender to become apparent? Male peacocks start developing their signature colorful feathers around this age, while females, or peahens, keep a more subtle look.
Walter Cronkite, our striking India Blue peacock, has a story as unique as his vibrant feathers. Hatched in 2020 at Legg’s Peafowl Farm in Kansas City, MO, Walter made his way to Arrowhead Ranch via the U.S. mail, bringing his charm and beauty along for the journey. Since his arrival, he has captivated everyone with his curious nature, bold personality, and dazzling display of plumage. Whether perched majestically or greeting visitors with his signature call, Walter is a true icon of Arrowhead Ranch.
Betsy, our elegant India Blue peahen, has been a treasured part of Arrowhead Ranch since her arrival in 2020. Hatched at Legg’s Peafowl Farm in Kansas City, MO, Betsy made her way to the ranch via the U.S. mail. In the summer of 2022, Betsy’s adventurous spirit led her to escape her pen and take a week-long vacation at the nearby Camaloch Golf Course. Thanks to a kind local who spotted her and reached out through the Nextdoor app, Ranch Hand Olivia was able to bring Betsy back home safely. Now, Betsy continues to grace the ranch with her beauty and a hint of wanderlust!
Larry is a yellow-bellied slider turtle. He was found crossing the road on Marine View Drive and a ranch volunteer picked him up and tried to find his owner. After not hearing back, the ranch volunteer re-homed Larry to the pond at Arrowhead Ranch.
