The Arrowhead Ranch Foundation

Our Story

Arrowhead Ranch was founded in 2016 by Randy and Marla Heagle as a destination adventure center. Home to the Stanwood and Camano Island Soap Box Derby, Arrowhead Ranch now offers an axe-throwing venue and a craftsman makerspace, and is open for hosting special events. Just an hour north of Seattle and located on beautiful Camano Island, Arrowhead Ranch is your Northwest destination where the whole family can be safe, have fun, and dream big.

Our Mission

The mission of the Arrowhead Ranch Foundation is to generate resources to foster innovation, collaboration and technical knowledge in people of all ages while equipping them with the tools they need to build the world they imagine. Through the Arrowhead Ranch Foundation, the Arrowhead Ranch has become a place for the community to come together, try new things, and share experiences.

Make an Impact

The Arrowhead Ranch Foundation not only sustains the Arrowhead Ranch as a safe, dedicated space for the annual Stanwood-Camano Island Soap Box Derby, but it also makes scholarships available to children who want to race but can’t afford it. The Soap Box Derby offers a rare opportunity to bring together children, businesses and the entire community. Children, aged 7-17, who compete gain experience with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), sportsmanship, and confidence. The racers work one-on-one with a mentor in build clinics leading up to race day.

Brick by Brick 2020

Leave your mark in the Winner’s Circle at Arrowhead Ranch! The first annual Brick by Brick fundraiser by the Windermere Stanwood & Camano Island Soap Box Derby and the Arrowhead Ranch Foundation will support future racers and the Foundation’s efforts to foster innovation and collaboration.
