On a beautiful, sunny afternoon in February, Arrowhead Ranch partnered with Stanwood Camano Arts Advocacy Comission (SCAAC) to host a documentary workshop led by award-winning filmmakers Georgia Krause (@the_newt_estimate) and Sam Wolff (@samwol_f). Teen and adult students dove into the world of documentary filmmaking—learning how to develop compelling story ideas, craft interview questions, and scout the perfect filming locations. The subject of the workshop was none other than Arrowhead Ranch and its passionate owners, Randy and Marla Heagle. As participants gained hands-on experience in interviewing and filming, they also learned about Randy and Marla’s vision for Arrowhead Ranch as a collaborative community space where creativity, fun, and innovation thrive.
The final video, “Arrowhead Ranch on the Island,” edited by Georgia and Sam, is now available to watch on our website! We’re thrilled to have been part of this exciting opportunity for storytelling and community building—thank you to everyone who joined us for the inaugural documentary workshop!
